Using Fusadems
These terms apply to the school that signs up for Fusadems and to everyone the school gives access to. The person who signs up confirms they are allowed to agree to them for the school.
Trial and plans
New schools get a 30-day free trial. Fusadems has no subscription for schools. Some optional apps have a monthly fee, shown on our pricing page and in the App Store, billed on an invoice at the start of each term for the apps installed then. Prices may change for future terms; we will tell you before a new term starts.
Online payments
Online payments are processed by Paystack and settle to the school’s own account. When a parent pays online, a convenience fee covers the payment network’s charge and Fusadems’ share (1% of the payment), unless the school chooses to absorb it. The school is responsible for its fees, refunds and the accuracy of its payout details.
Paying through Fusadems
Parents can pay fees through Fusadems online, in the parent portal, by USSD and at partner banks the school chooses. Each payment carries Fusadems’ 1% and the payment network’s own charge, paid by the payer unless the school chooses to absorb them. At a partner bank the 1% is collected with the fee into the school’s account and added to the school’s next invoice. Each term, more than half of the fees the school collects (counted in cedis) should be paid through Fusadems. If no more than half are, the next invoice adds 1% of the fees the school recorded as paid outside Fusadems that term. This doesn’t apply to terms that started during the free trial.
The school’s records
The school owns its records and is responsible for having the right to collect them and for keeping them accurate. We use them only to provide Fusadems, as described in our privacy policy. The school can download its records at any time.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Fusadems to break the law, to send messages people haven’t agreed to receive, or to try to reach another school’s records. We may suspend access that puts others at risk.
Texts
Text messages are sent under the school’s sender name and use the school’s SMS credit. The school is responsible for what it sends.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Fusadems running and to fix problems quickly, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. We improve Fusadems over time; if we remove something important, we will tell schools in advance.
Ending
A school can stop at the end of any term. We can end the service if invoices aren’t paid or these terms are broken, after telling the school. Either way, the school can download its records first.
Liability
As far as the law allows, our total liability to a school is limited to what it paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
